Our story
Rooted in creativity, science, and deep human connection
Art of Change Counseling was built on a simple belief: that healing happens when people feel truly seen, safe, and supported — and that the path to healing looks different for every person.
How we began
Art of Change Counseling was founded in Lafayette, Colorado with a vision to create a therapy practice that goes beyond talk therapy — one that honors the whole person, including their body, their creativity, and their relationships.
Our founder recognized that many clients, especially children and trauma survivors, need more than words to process their experiences. By weaving together neuroscience, child development, expressive arts, and evidence-based therapy, we created a space where real change becomes possible.
Today, we serve children, teens, adults, and families across the Boulder County area, offering in-person sessions in Lafayette and telehealth throughout Colorado.
Our philosophy
What we believe about healing
Every person deserves to be seen
We approach every client with unconditional positive regard — no judgment, no agenda. Your experience is valid, and your pace is respected.
The brain and body heal together
We draw on neuroscience and somatic awareness to help clients understand how their nervous system responds to stress, trauma, and connection.
Creativity is a path to healing
Art, play, and sand tray aren't just for kids — they're powerful tools that help people of all ages access parts of themselves that words can't always reach.
Relationships are the foundation
Whether we're working with a child, a parent, or a family, we believe that safe, attuned relationships are the foundation of all lasting change.
Trauma-informed in everything we do
Every aspect of our practice — from our physical space to our clinical approach — is designed to promote safety, choice, and empowerment.

Marta Jasinska, LPC
Founder & Clinical Director
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Child & Family Investigator, I integrate approaches such as EMDR, play therapy, art therapy, mindfulness, sand tray, and somatic interventions to support lasting change. I believe creativity, curiosity, and strong relationships create powerful opportunities for healing. My vision for Art of Change Counseling is to provide a welcoming space where individuals and families feel safe to grow, reconnect, and discover their own path toward growth.
